The Rett Syndrome Association of Ireland

Welcome to Rett Syndrome Ireland

The Rett Syndrome Association of Ireland is an association of parents and families of people affected with Rett Syndrome.

Rett Syndrome is a rare neurodevelopment disorder resulting in learning and physical disability. It affects girls almost exclusively. It often features repetitive and stereotypical hand gestures. [intlink type=”p” slug=”about-rett-syndrome” text=”Read More about Rett Syndrome”] or  [intlink type=”p” slug=”about-cdkl5″ text=”Read about CDKL5″] – a closely related condition.

We provide support and information to each other and to families who have received a new diagnosis [intlink type=”p” slug=”living-with-rett-syndrome” text=”Read about Living with Rett Syndrome”]

We aim to raise awareness among medical and other professionals who work with people affected by Rett Syndrome, as well as public awareness of the condition, and to encourage and assist Research.
